Animation

Animation permits the additon of time and motion to the information available in traditional graphic arts. This extra imformation is particularly helpful when trying to educate people about health and illness.

One area of great interest to our group is educating children and adults about psychaitric illnesses and the medications used to treat these problems. Animation permits the educator to present experiences in a way not possible with other media.

Visual Illusions Related To Motion:

Certain illusions are only experienced with moving images. A common example is the sense that a car's tires are moving backwards as the car travels past. Studying these kinds of illusions gives another window on the way the brain manages information.
